General

  • By registering for the Maiden Kashmir Marathon Race, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
  • The event is organized by the Tourism Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir (hereinafter referred to as "the Organizers").
  • The Organizers reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any amendments will be communicated to participants through the official event website.
  • Participants are advised to regularly check the official event website for updates or changes to these terms and conditions.

Eligibility

  • Participants must be above 18 years of age.
  • Participants must be in good health and physically prepared to undertake the race category they have registered for.
  • Age restrictions must be strictly adhered to and the organizers have the right to verify the age of participants before, during, and after the race.

Registration

  • Registration is only complete upon payment of the registration fee and receipt of a confirmation email/SMS.
  • The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • The Organizers reserve the right to close registrations before the official closing date if participation quotas are met.
  • Participants are advised not to apply more than once. Multiple applications will be rejected.
  • Before applying, applicants must ensure to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information as requested in the application form. The application will not be accepted if an applicant knowingly submits false information.
  • Entries will not be accepted, if
    • Incorrect documentation or information about the entry is submitted.
    *In such cases the entry/registration shall be deemed cancelled and the registration entry fee paid will not be refunded.

Race Categories and Timing

  • The event includes the following categories: - Full Marathon (42 km) and Half Marathon (21 km) The official start times for each race category will be communicated prior to the event, through the event website.
  • BIB number and Collection
    • Entry or BIB is non-transferable to any other participant/person.
    • Your official race BIB number is important. Therefore, please ensure that it is displayed during the entire race.
    • Do not alter the BIB number in any manner.
    • No one else may wear your BIB number.
    • If any participant is found wearing another participant's BIB, he/she will be disqualified and not allowed future participation.
    • Running BIB must be pinned properly to the front of your t-shirt and clearly visible at all times.
    • Folding or covering any part of your BIB may result in disqualification.
    • Do not forcefully bend, crease, or fold your BIB.

Race Day

  • Participants must wear their official race bibs visibly on their front throughout the race.
  • Participants must follow the designated race route and comply with instructions from race officials, volunteers, and medical staff.
  • Timing Chips
    • Details will be notified separately.
  • Code of Conduct
    • Participants must follow the instructions and directions of the organizers, race officials, course Marshalls, race volunteers, and city volunteers at all times.
    • Participants must conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner and respect race officials, fellow runners, and the local people.
    • The organizers reserve the right to disqualify participants who refuse to follow the instructions of the race officials.
  • Official Time and Net time
    • (with Start and Finish times) will be provided for participants who have completed the races within the specified cut-off time. Your net time will be your official time.
  • Participants must ensure that they are medically and physically fit to participate in the event. Any person who is suffering from any chronic disease, such as heart disease or high blood pressure, should not participate in the event. The organizers reserve the right to disallow/disqualify any participant who is known or suspected to be physically unfit to participate in the event.
  • Aid stations providing water and medical assistance will be available along the race route.

Safety and Medical Assistance

  • Participants are responsible for their own safety during the event.
  • Medical support will be available, but participants must inform the organizers of any pre-existing medical conditions at the time of registration.
  • The organizers reserve the right to remove any participant from the race if they are deemed unfit to continue for health and safety reasons.

Photography and Media

  • By participating in the event, participants consent to being photographed and filmed by the organizers or their authorized agents.
  • Participants grant the organizers the right to use these images and videos for promotional purposes without compensation.

Liability

  • The organizers are not liable for any injuries, losses, or damages incurred by participants during the event.
  • Participants participate at their own risk and are advised to have personal insurance.

Event Modification and Cancellation

  • The organizers reserve the right to modify the event details, including the date, route, and start times, if necessary.
  • In the event of severe weather or other unforeseen circumstances, the organizers may reschedule or cancel the event.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from participation in the event will be resolved by the organizers, and their decision will be final.

Data Protection

  • Participants' personal data will be collected, processed, and stored by the organizers in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
  • Participants consent to their personal data being used for event administration and promotional purposes.

Acceptance

By registering for the Maiden Kashmir Marathon Race, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.

Kashmir Marathon Refund and Cancellation Policy

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, leading to the need for cancellation or refund. Please review our refund and cancellation policy below to ensure you are aware of the conditions and procedures.

Thank you for registering for our event. Please read the following cancellation policy carefully:

  • No Refund Policy: Once the registration is completed, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances. This policy is in place due to the extensive planning and resources required to organize the event.
  • Event Postponement or Cancellation: In the unlikely event that the marathon is postponed or canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, all registrations will be automatically transferred to the rescheduled date. No refunds will be provided.
