Kashmir Marathon Runners Guidelines

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, please read the guidelines carefully, which cover important information about the weather, necessary preparations, and essential logistics.

Runners Guidelines

Weather in October
  • Temperature:
October in Kashmir is usually cool and pleasant. The daytime temperatures typically range from 10°C to 20°C (50°F to 68°F). However, mornings and evenings can be quite chilly, with temperatures dropping to 0°C to 5°C (32°F to 41°F).
  • Weather Conditions:
Expect clear skies with occasional clouds. Rain is unlikely but possible, so it's advisable to stay updated with the weather forecast closer to the event.
SIM Card (Post-paid)
  • SIM Cards:
It is recommended to use a post-paid SIM card in Kashmir, as prepaid SIM cards from other states might not work.
  • Purchase Locations:
You can purchase a post-paid SIM card from major service providers like Airtel, BSNL and Jio at their authorized stores. Ensure you carry valid identification (passport, visa, and passport-sized photos) for verification purposes.
  • Connectivity:
Network connectivity is generally good in urban areas, but it may be patchy in remote regions. Plan accordingly for any communication needs.

Due to the fluctuating temperatures, dressing in layers is advisable. Consider the following:
