This 32-kilometer sub-range, located between the Pir Panjal and the Greater Himalayan Range,
overlooks the historical city of Srinagar. The range features rich wildlife and houses the Dachigam
National Park, which spans over 141 square kilometres. The park is home to the last viable population
of Kashmir stag-Hangul and the largest population of black bears in Asia, along with musk deer,
leopards, Himalayan brown bears, and many other species.
